Writing to the world!

Well, this morning I broke a nerve-racking news to the students of this class: they have to post their essay in this blog. That, I think, almost sent everyone to an instant heart attack :) because none of the students in the class had an experience of blogging before.

Yet, I'm so proud of my students because they took the challenge bravely, and I'm positive in any ways that they will produce interesting pieces of writing.

The first task that I set for them is to write a paragraph of their introduction containing their bio and a paragraph expressing their opinion of the use of blogging to publish their writing piece. The second task is an outline of their five paragraph essay, containing a thesis statement and three topic sentences. The deadline is this Friday at 10 AM (West Indonesian Time, GMT +7).
